This is the original nameboard for the schooner A.M.ACKEN (Antoinette M. Acken). The vessel was built in 1858 in Perth Amboy, N.J. 121 tons. Home port, Norwalk, Ct. Anchored in October, 1882 near the Nantucket bar with cargo of stone for the jetty, foundered, sunk and later surfaced at Coatue, March, 1883. Carved letters, original paint. 59 in. long.
